Please read these terms carefully before using www.litloop.co or the Litloop app. By accessing or using either you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Litloop

Litloop is operated by Ben Luxon, based in the United Kingdom. The service comprises a book recommendation and review website at www.litloop.co and the Litloop reading app. The site provides book recommendations, reviews, genre guides, free writing tools, and free downloadable fiction.

2. Use of this website

You may use this website for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to:

• Use the site in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law
• Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or resell any part of our content without express written permission
• Use automated means to access or scrape the site without prior written consent
• Transmit unsolicited or unauthorised advertising material
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or related systems

3. Litloop app

Eligibility

You must be 16 or older to create a Litloop account. By registering you confirm that you meet this requirement. If we become aware that an account has been created by someone under 16 we will delete it without notice.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You may not share your account with others, create accounts on behalf of other people, or create multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension or ban.

Acceptable use

You may not use the Litloop app to:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse other users
• Send spam, unsolicited promotions, or automated messages
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Share content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another user's account or our systems
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law

User content

Reviews, reading notes, messages, and other content you create in the app remain your property. You grant Litloop a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display that content solely to provide the service. Private notes are visible only to you. Messages are visible only to the sender and intended recipient(s). Litloop staff do not read private notes or messages except where required to investigate a safety or legal issue.

Reporting and blocking

You can report content or another user directly from within the app. Reports are reviewed by Litloop and we will take action — up to and including permanent account termination — where violations of these terms are found. You can also block any user to prevent them from messaging you or seeing your content. Blocking is immediate and the blocked user is not notified.

Account suspension and termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion. Where possible we will notify you of a suspension and the reason for it, unless doing so would compromise a safety investigation. Suspended users may not create new accounts.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app settings. Deletion removes your profile, reading data, and message history from our systems within 30 days. This action is irreversible.

4. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including articles, reviews, tool code, writing prompts, and design — is the property of Litloop or Ben Luxon and is protected by copyright. Short excerpts may be shared with attribution and a link to the original page. Full reproduction without permission is not permitted.

Free downloads (short story collections) are for personal use only and may not be redistributed, resold, or published elsewhere without written permission.

5. Affiliate disclosure

Litloop participates in the Amazon Associates Programme. When you click an affiliate link and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are used throughout book recommendations and reviews. Our editorial opinions are our own and are not influenced by affiliate relationships.

6. Accuracy of content

We make every effort to ensure content is accurate and current. Book prices, availability, and publication details can change. We make no warranty that content is complete or current. Book recommendations and reviews represent personal opinions — reading is subjective.

7. Free downloads and email list

Free short story downloads are provided in exchange for your email address, which will be added to the Litloop mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time. We will never sell or share your email address. See our Privacy & Cookie Policy for full details.

8. Writing tools

Writing prompt generators, name generators, and other tools are provided free for personal and creative use. You are welcome to use generated content in your own writing without attribution. We make no claim of ownership over names or prompts generated by these tools.

9. External links

This site contains links to third-party websites including Amazon and author sites. These are provided for convenience only. We have no control over external content and accept no responsibility for it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Litloop and Ben Luxon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or app. Both are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind.

11. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The date at the top indicates when they were last revised. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
